JOB TITLE:   Accounting Assistant

SUPERVISOR:        Controller                           DATE: April 2021

Position Summary:  Position is responsible for entering data in the ERP system.  This may involve either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.

Objectives:  Provide professional and timely support to the accounting division of Ag Property Solutions, LLC to facilitate the efficient operation and growth of the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and enter invoices for accounts payable.
  2. Reconcile and process credit card charges.
  3. Create and issue sales invoices for parts, service and projects.
  4. Deposit incoming cash receipts.
  5. Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
  6. Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
  7. Updating ledgers, researching and resolving discrepancies.
  8. Close out projects.
  9. Reconcile vendor statements.
  10. Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.
  11. Responding appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests.
  12. Ensuring Accounting Department runs smoothly and efficiently.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in basic reading, math and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to be a team player and assist other areas as needed.
  • Work effectively and proactively with a variety of personalities.
  • Must display a professional image through verbal communication and actions.

Working Conditions:  Work is performed almost exclusively in an office.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours, 8:00am-5:00pm.  There will be some variation in work hours due to employee schedules, special projects, and other concerns.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently sitting.
  • Ability to manipulate (lift, carry and/or move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp, reach, push, pull.
  • Position also requires repetitive hand motion (typing/data entry) on a daily basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to print and/or write legibly.

Equipment/Instruments Used:  Computer, telephones, fax machines, 10-key calculator, copier.

Experience:  High School Diploma or GED required.  A minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

JOB TITLE:            Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO:       APS Service Manager                                              DATE: April 2021

Position Summary:  Responsible for daily management of the maintenance of customer sow farms and N/G/F sites.  Assist in the performance of preventive maintenance, repairs, and construction projects. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  2. Interface as needed with Work Order Manager for parts and supplies.
  3. Perform general troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, heating, structure, metal fabrication and other miscellaneous tasks.
  4. Ensures jobs are completed fully and correctly.
  5. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  6. Regular and routine communication with site staff, managers, and supervisors.
  7. Understands the importance of inventory and invoice accuracy.
  8. Regular and routine communication with Service Manager.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Regular, consistent attendance is essential to the function of this position.
  2. Follows all bio-security measures according to Bio-Security Policy.
  3. Follows all Animal Welfare policies and practices and informs management of any violations by staff.
  4. Follows all safety rules and practices and encourages coworkers to do the same.
  5. Other duties as may be assigned to fulfill responsibilities of this position.
  6. Attending scheduled meetings and training meetings.

Working Conditions:  Reports to maintenance shop at 6:45a.m. daily. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours M-F and available for on-call rotation.  Weekend on-call rotation will also be applied to holidays.  Hours average 40-45 hours per week.  Over-time pay after 40 hours.   There will be some variation in work hours due to animal care and health, weather, employee shift schedules, special projects, emergencies and other concerns.

Physical Requirements:  Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push, pull, standing and walking for extended periods of time on concrete, climb feed bins, work in tight spaces.

Equipment/Instruments Used:  Power washers, sort panels, disinfecting chemicals, power tools, hand tools, welder, skid steer, telehandler.
