Project Manager
APS - Midwest

Responsible for the management of projects (new and remodel), quoting of projects and management of sub-contractors in the Midwest region.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage new and remodel projects for customers.
  • Assist Account Managers with gathering information on projects to define scope, assemble material lists, provide quote or estimate as requested and approved by the customer.
  • Assist in the selection of sub-contractors and ensure they have signed off on clear specifications of the project.
  • Supervise jobsite superintendents and sub-contractors to coordinate their efforts to adhere to timeline, budget and drawings.
  • Manage changes and provide information for approval and proper invoices to customer by Account Manager.
  • Maintains project communication between purchasing/vendors, sub-contractors, Account Manager and General Manager.
  • Approves the completion of a project documented by a quality control review, final billing, and final project reporting.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is essential to the function of this position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 or more years of project management experience.
  • Ability to lead a team of sub-contractors and/or jobsite superintendents.
  • Ability to work remotely in a responsible manner.
  • Detailed and organized and able to schedule, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player and assist other areas as needed.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push, pull, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

 

Jobsite Superintendent 
APS - Midwest

Oversees the schedule and work of the construction crews, equipment and sub-contractors on new and remodel projects within the Midwest area.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure jobsite work is progressing according to project schedule.
  • Observe that accurate materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time.
  • Unloads deliveries, responsible for paperwork and ensuring materials match pack slips.
  • Reports job stats on daily basis to the Project Manager
  • Keeps site expenses under control, notified Project Manager of potential changes.
  • Communicates clear directions to workers to ensure they are performing as required to drawings, safety and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintains and updates specifications and drawings resulting in accurate as-built drawings.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is essential to the function of this position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 or more years of construction site supervisory experience. 
  • Ability to supervise effectively, calmly and respectfully with various working crews.
  • Ability to work remotely in a responsible manner.
  • Able to schedule, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel to various work sites.
  • Must be willing to work 40 to 60 hours per week, which may include Saturdays and occasionally Sundays depending on crews, weather, and project schedule.
  • Ability to be a team player and assist other areas as needed.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push, pull, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

 

Draftsman
APS - Emmetsburg, Iowa

Responsible to work with the APS Structure Team to collect all information needed to produce accurate construction drawings. These drawings will include, but not limited to: Building Layout & Dimensions, Concrete, Wood-framed building, Pen Layout & Dimensions, Ventilation System, Feed System, Water, LP, & High Pressure Systems, Electrical. Maintain and update drawings frequently for standard projects to be used as reference points for APS Structure Team. Training in AutoCAD and/or Revit and familiarity with swine industry required.

 

Maintenance Technician
APS - Emmetsburg, Iowa

Responsible for the daily maintenance needs of customer's sow farms and wean-to-finish sites. Assist in the preventative maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform general troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, heating, structure, metal fabrication and other miscellaneous tasks.
  • Ensure jobs are completed fully and correctly in a timely manner.
  • Interface as needed with Work Order Manager for parts and supplies.
  • Regular and routine communication with site staff, managers, and supervisors.
  • Understands the importance of inventory and invoice accuracy.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is essential to the function of this position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior maintenance skills or aptitude to be able to fix and repair various items.
  • Ability to be a team player and assist other areas as needed.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, push, pull, standing and walking for extended periods of time on concrete, climb feed bins, work in tight spaces.
